Food For Thought - "Black Gold"

The importance a healthy mind and body play in the accomplishment of our  dreams and goals is underestimated at times. I would like to share with you a very important but inexpensive food that when added daily will add tremendous benefits to your mind and body.
It’s black strap molasses, also known as “Black Gold”.molasses
Yes, you heard that right.  Plain old black strap molasses. Here’s what occurred to me.  Someone suggested that I make a tea with it and drink it 3 times a day for better health.  What you do is fill a cup half way with hot water, stir in a teaspoon of molasses , then fill the rest of the cup  with cold water.  Enjoy!  You can sweeten it more with honey. Another way to take it is by adding it to your coffee or just by taking it on a spoon.
Molasses is a carbohydrate and protein, contains potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, iron, niacin, riboflavin, thiamine, copper, zinc, chromium, ash , silica, and other trace minerals.
It is reported that molasses may help with the following conditions-heart disease – strokes – arthritis – joint pains – skin disorders (dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, plus improves the skin) – high & low blood pressure – diabetes – ulcers – varicose veins – indigestion – constipation – gum disease – anaemia – bladder troubles – gallstones – senility – alzeheimers – nervousness – calms aggression – strengthens nails, teeth, bones & hair – improves mental alertness / concentration – slow down the aging process.
It is a well known fact that mineral and vitamin deficiencies are  found in people with illnesses and diseases. Molasses also helps to keep blood alkaline. It has been scientifically proven that diseases cannot survive in alkaline blood.
For women, molasses has been great at preventing the anxiety and other symptoms associated with PMS. I can personally attest to this. Since taking black strap molasses ever day, the anxiety and other symptoms  I suffered during PMS has been eliminated.
Do you see why it Molasses has been dubbed “Black Gold”?
The benefits are almost endless. I could go on and on. I hope I have encouraged you to go get some black strap molasses ASAP and take it ASAP.
Now please excuse me now while I go take mine.
Until my next post…
Peace to you,
Becky Fontenot
